Veterans Day Memorial - 2021

What a great day for Mayor Levell Langley and our town Commissioners as we dedicated the Veterans Monument in Ennis Park today. Our town was honored to host the 2d Marine Air Wing Band out of Cherry Point and to have two Marine Corps League Detachments Post Colors during the ceremony.  I am thankful to everyone that purchased bricks in honor of and memory of their loved ones, to the Pastors at Red Oak Baptist and Calvary Chapel for honoring us with their prayers during the service, to Brenda Jones for blessing everyone with her beautiful voice as she sang our National Anthem, to my brother in law, retired Marine 1st Sgt Todd Winstead for his heartfelt speech and Mayor Langley for his emotional tribute to our veterans. To Beth at Smith’s Restaurant and her boss Bruce for helping us honor our veterans with an all American hot dog lunch. To every person that helped in any way I say thank you! These are just a few pictures from todays ceremony. I will post more as they are shared with me.  As long as there are Veterans we will never forget!
