Levell Langley Bio

Levell was elected to the Town Council in 2005, appointed Mayor Pro Tempore in 2015, and elected Red Oak's Mayor in 2017. During his tenure on the Town Council, he has supported adding amenities to the town that encourage residents and visitors to want to be a part of the community. He believes that Ennis Park is one of Red Oak's greatest community resources, and he was a member of the council that voted to purchase the festive Christmas lights and street lights for the Town.
Levell values the small-town community of Red Oak and appreciates the conservative values of this town. Levell has been involved in the community serving as a volunteer fireman with the Red Oak Fire Department for over 23 years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the state-of-the-art Red Oak Fire Department and is proud of the men and women that serve our community so well, including the Nash EMS service team, which is also housed in our community. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Red Oak Basketball League, a program that promotes youth exercise, team work and family values. He is also proud of how our area churches support our community so well, and believes our local schools are among the best in the Nash Rocky Mount system.

Levell Langley didn't grow up in Red Oak, but Red Oak is where he grew up and started taking an interest in the community and being a part of what helps a community grow and prosper. After moving to Red Oak in 1986, he met a local girl, Paulette Braswell. The two married in 1988. The Langley's have one son, Zach, who currently attends N.C. State University. Levell is also a local business owner and real estate developer; his HVAC business, Langley Maintenance, has been in business for over 22 years.
As Mayor, Levell hopes to continue to promote Red Oak as a small-town community with big values. Red Oak is the place everyone wants to raise their family, and a community that still honors the "Golden Rule” and loves their neighbor.
